You mentioned a new company, how exciting. What are you doing now? Did you find a new company to make your products and if so, can you recommend one? I have jewelry that I want made but so far Mako is the only one that seems to come up on a google search. I need a company soon, so if you have any thoughts that would make me happy. |
| 2. Written by Tikarli on March 30, 2012 from montreal, quebec, CA Hello Jordie!!!! Mako admitted being in the wrong & paid me back. So, they did the right thing. Spark will charge you for work they didn't do nor can justify. Ex: I ordered a custom made motor with particular components. I received a motor from China that came of the shelves. And that information came from one of their designers. Look, all I can tell you is, being reputable means nothing today. So, be on top of your game by always asking to see what you've just given money for. And never pay everything in one shot. |

| 6. Written by Tikarli on March 23, 2012 from montreal, quebec, CA Wools, that's terrible! If you need a lawyer from Toronto, I can refer you to 3 that are not expensive at all. And if you need someone to testify against Mako to reinforce your allegations or write an affidavit, I can absolutely make myself available. Just send me an email at ( ). Don't fight alone cuz you're not alone! Please keep me posted! |
| 7. Written by wools on March 22, 2012 from toronto, ontario, CA Its been awhile since I have even looked at this post but I received so many email notices lately of comments added, I took time today to look. I have been focused on my business and trying not to let Kevin Mako rent any space in my head, for now. I only have this to say. Kevin Mako has such a nack for perpetual inaccuracies that I wonder sometimes if he actually believes what he writes? He never had anyone going around China looking for materials and he didn't have any costs. He simply bought a few pair of boots off the line from an existing factory that makes these exact boots, cut them up and showed them to me and charged me $7,000. He took my $47,000 and then tried to change the rules of the agreement. I never, ever cancelled the order. Contrary to the agreement, he then wanted me to pay the entire balance of the order before one boot was even manufactured. He did not purchase any materials, or start any manufacturing. He told me so himself. Was I an *** for letting him constantly take advantage of me? Heck Yes! Mr. Mako should be ashamed of himself, but I doubt that will ever happen until a judge or law enforcement puts an end to him. By the way, I haven't gone away... I want my money back, money that he blatantly stole from me and my family and I won't stop fighting to get it back. I just need to put away enough money to fight him in court. Lots of it... but I'm getting there and it will be worth every penny. It's such a horrible thing to do to someone. I just don't get it. Please, don't believe the nice guy routine you get when you first meet him. I thought because he was an Ivy grad, won awards,etc.. that he was the best guy for the job. I couldn't have been more wrong...$47,000 wrong. BE CAREFUL PEOPLE! |

| 9. Written by Tikarli on March 15, 2012 from montreal, quebec, CA Hey Drake & Cie, PLEASE BEWARE of Spark Innovations in Toronto! The owner Robert G. Dickie aka "Robert The Crooked D_ck Robber" is The Grinch of them all! He charges way more & sometime delivers products off the shelves. Yup, I have proof! Remember you have options. If you want to go with a Design Firm, don't pay big chunks of money. Question any amount beyond $2000 & force the supervisors to explain in writing what your payment will give you in exchange. But my personal advice is, simply hire Freelancers for they are less expansive & very eager to please. It's true, you'll babysit more but you'll also be in control of your real product expanses. Good luck to all & kisses Mr. D! |

M proud of you for coming out, n sharing your experience with us. You have no idea how much of an awarenessyou have created for future inventors who aspire to work with mako and other invention firms .. So we applaud you for that . I'm also glad you got your money back ..! Thats what matters most hey ..! |
